My last post got corrupted

I've been working on the code for my previous post.  The title and all blogs on my blog list got turned into blue links.
As I test post Blogger bumps the titles to the most recent posts as my tests post.
I'm posting this one as a filler to go to the post from yesterday. I am working on using Word Press and kiss this platform goodbye for ever. I don't know how much support Blogger is getting.  From what I read on tech sites; not much.

  2. WordPress blogs seem to be infested by annoying ads; I don't know whether users can get rid of them. The Blogger interface has come to feel cumbersome and old-fashioned.

Blogs are a thing of the aughts, I guess, and people prefer social media now. But blogging could be revived if the platforms put some effort into making it just as easy to follow blogs, post, read and reply to comments, etc., as it is on Facebook and Instagram. Blogs could potentially be just as lively as those sites ... then again, blogs favor long reflections, and maybe the contemporary attention span is just too short for this medium.

  3. Actually, I just visited a WordPress blog that had no ads. I believe that at some point in the last year or two, the platform started making ads the default, or something along those lines. I can understand—WordPress has to make money somehow—but often the ads are really unsightly and distracting.

    1. I often wonder how long blogs will last. I prefer blogs to the instant clip of nonsense on FB and other platforms. I also hate that silly FB pop up on sites when not signed into FB (which I won't create an account). Then there are privacy issues as well as the hidden sites that one can only access if on FB and have clearance.

I think the WP ads only show on the free web sites and blogs. They have a very reasonable annual rate, and I think that is ad free. I belonged to some radio clubs using WP, and they do not have ads.

  4. I use Blogger Bill, if works just fine. Not at all complicated, which suites me as I am definitely a technophobe 😉
