A Carbon Ribbon and Techno Pica
Notice that this Hermes does not have a card guide. If anyone has one as a spare part or a non working 3000 for parts please let me know. I am looking for knobs, a card guide and a platen.
@Rcihard, I think it is fine with Techno font, but I may not like the clear crisp lines of the font on my older typewriters when I try the ribbon on them. I do like the price of the ribbons; dirt cheap on ebay. I made a spindle to hold the take up reel in my drill so I could spool the ribbon off of the specialized IBM spool.
Looks like good results. Do you like this technique?

ReplyDeleteThat's very nice. My 1961 is also techno. It's still my number 1.
ReplyDeleteI have one of these plastic carbon ribbons in my '57 Underwood Golden Touch. The slab-serif font works well with carbon ribbons.
ReplyDeleteAh...techno typeface! Something definitely on my wish-list.
ReplyDeleteYou should have not identified that doodle. It would have no doubt elicited quite a few questions! ;-)
