And 2014 Begins

I notice things too late.  It is 300k and 500k miles, not kM or mm or inches or some easily attainable distance.  My German cars all made it more than 500k miles.

Sometimes the best things in life are free, like my favorite typewriter.

I should not reuse paper!

And this Omega D-II Enlarger.  Ready to print 4" X 5" negatives (or smaller)

  1. That's a nice enlarger, it should do you fine.

    1. It is in really good shape. I always wanted a D2-V, but I could not argue with free. This one requires changing condenser cartridges and is a push up / pull down rather than rack and pinion like the D2V. Otherwise identical except that the DII and D2V and several designs of the lamp housing. They all seemed to swap around fine. I used both though my photography years.

  2. Best of luck in the paring down and moving! Been there, done that...it makes you take stock, which is good, but it sure is a lot of work!

    1. This will be my 10th? move. I moved so often all of my things should be on wheels like the Post Office carts.

  5. I'm with you on not making resolutions. How about "I plan on being a functional human being in 2014"? That's mine.

Your projects new and ongoing sound great. I am looking forward to seeing the photographic experiments.

    Happy New Year!

  6. Hey--Resolution #1 is no NEW typewriters in 2014. Fine--there are tons of OLD typewriters out there! Cheers,

    1. I'm guessing you have a B22? When I was in college I wanted a B22, but I never got one.

I hope your Underwood types as good as mine types.

  8. Man. I know your pain about the moving. I think I'm about to do the same myself very soon. What do I do with all the typewriters! Anyway. I love the enlarger. Have some great fun with that!
