My normally sloppier than this desk. I really do type with small typewriters alongside the PCs. |
Generally it is hard to see the surface of my desk. I generally have a bit more on it. Recently I replaced the 24 channel mixer with a smaller 8 channel and put the processors all in a small rack under my radio desk beside my servers and put the CD/DVD duplicators in church.
Congratulations on two years of blogging. I think we all wonder when we first start our blogs whether anyone will ever read them at all. It's nice when we start to build followers and page views.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on two years of blogging, Bill! Yours is one that I regularly read, even if I don't know the first thing about ham radio. Ten-four, good buddy! (See? Told ya I know nothing about ham radio).
ReplyDeleteWell done. I have always enjoyed reading your blog. Great to see you're still about and ready to write!
ReplyDeleteAnd that looks like a very nice Olympia you have there.
Scott,
DeleteI'm glad I did not render the SM4 to the scrap heap. It has turned out to be one of the best 2 typers I have (Underwood Standard Portable 4 Bank and the SM4). The SM4 far out performs either of my SM7s.
Happy birthday to your blog then! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Bill. I wonder about page views, a lot of mine seem to come from Romanian robots so, even if no real person clicks on one of pages, I still get page views. I'm glad you like the SM4. They always feel like a very grown-up machine. Purposeful and bussinesslike. The Jeep of post-war typewriters. And I'm impressed you have a desk big enough to fit so much on though I suppose a smaller surface like mine makes one tidy up more often.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder if all hits on mine from Russia are spambots.
DeleteHappy anniversary!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I always enjoy the latest reports!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! We are lucky to have you numbered among our ranks (:
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like that word Ted!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary Bill! Maybe the reason your blog gets visited when you aren't active is because people use it for research? I know I do sometimes when I remember someone had written a great post about one of the typewriters I found.
Hopefully my machine posts are helpful. I have manuals to make and post too. One reason for my lack of posting lately is the overly long typecast for the SM4 repairs. I have tried to edit it and make it shorter. So far I think I will let it long and post it in the not too distant future.
DeleteCheers on your anniversary, Bill!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the deletion, I wrote a very confused message.
Congrats Bill, here's to many more years ahead of you and this blog!
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations, Bill! Wish you many more of typewriting and blogging.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Keep typing, and don't forget about those lovely mechanical cameras!
ReplyDeleteWell done Bill, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Looking forward to more; often or not.
