It's I.T.A.M.

My typing caused some double strikes or improper advance.

There is one thing I did not mention either (hope Jen does not read my blog) I played a Ukelin several years (decades) ago in a bluegrass band.  Normally I was the sound guy whenever I was involved in anything but a marching band or a polka band.

  1. Very nice typeface on that Royal Signet. Looks like a mill typewriter font in italics.

    1. Kind of a unique Zither kind of string instrument bowed with a 1/4 bow rather than picked. I think they are unique to the U.S. They are no longer made and somewhat of a novelty. Sound fine if tuned correctly. Some need a modification to the sound board to make them sound good. I plan a post a bit later. I need to replace some strings on mine.

  4. This is the first time that I have seen ANYBODY refer to a ukelin! Are you having fun with it?

I've got one here at home, and pluck on it from time to time. I don't use the bow; the hair is shot, so I pluck at the strings in my own way. Getting pretty good at playing scales on the strings towards the top. Left C, right D, etc. Tuned the guitar-sounding chords on the bottom. Cool! Let's swap ukelin recordings!

    1. The cord side can be strummed or plucked. I never tried the melody strings.
Yes, for the limited amount of time I have and my limited selection of songs I can play since some of the strings need replaced. I have them. I have not had the time to replace them.

I may take you up on the recordings when I replace the strings

  6. I just learned of something I've never heard before! How interesting. I just cranked out an ITAM entry on my Rem16. It felt like coming home to an old friend.
