It may take me a year or more to use a ribbon until dry unless the WD-40 evaporation rate is such that the ribbon dries. I am tracking the ink quality on the paper too.Bill Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14649212489891769390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558523755501505700.post-3174166756539355422012-02-13T01:39:24.609-05:002012-02-13T01:39:24.609-05:00Bill, I will have to try your method, which keeps ...Bill, I will have to try your method, which keeps the typewriter itself out of the process.

It will be interesting to see how long the WD-40 rejuvenation lasts, and if it is possible to do it several times before the ink is totally shot.Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11633967390492270136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558523755501505700.post-7848854832193372732012-02-12T19:23:36.948-05:002012-02-12T19:23:36.948-05:00Thank you everyone. Surprisingly, even very early morning was not only cold -1C, but blustery wind. I hope to be able to spray it early tomorrow morning and post tomorrow evening.Bill Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14649212489891769390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558523755501505700.post-21939462953771296002012-02-12T00:48:10.917-05:002012-02-12T00:48:10.917-05:00That is a very detailed explanation, thanks for sh...That is a very detailed explanation, thanks for sharing! The problem with my preferred new old stock ribbons is that they sometimes dry out even before I have a chance to use them. This tip will be very helpful and I'll try it out in the spring when we can do the spraying outdoors.Adwoahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00457285629002149759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558523755501505700.post-28117253608616371152012-02-11T22:25:54.428-05:002012-02-11T22:25:54.428-05:00Thanks for sharing this.
