Rummage sale find -- Royal Custom-III

This is a pica machine and the one fault I found is shown here.  The H type bar does not fully retract.  It did not cause a problem while typing a test.

Underside & workings are fairly clean.

  2. Did yours come with a manual? I just got one from my grandparent's house and I need to learn how to use the machine since I don't want to break it lol. I cannot find one to purchase online, any suggestion?

    1. Miss,
Mine did not come with a manual. It is quite a bit like the Royal Safari. The Safari was made in the USA and the Custom-III in Portugal.
The typewriter is not too complicated. Email me directly and I will do my best to answer your questions. I may be able to at least take some photos and add leaders and descriptions to what does what on the machine.

    2. Gladly...but I cannot figure out how to do that lol. I arranged it so that all follow up comments will be sent right to my email so maybe that'll do the trick. Thank you so much for being willing to help out a novice typewriter enthusiast!
